Reviews lets you collect star ratings and written feedback from your customers. Everything is hosted by ClassFit.

You decide which ratings can go public using the Public from setting. Ratings at or above it can be published. Anything lower comes to you as private feedback and never appears publicly.

For example, if Public from is set to 4 stars+, 4 and 5 star ratings can be published, and 1 to 3 star ratings go to private feedback.

There are three ways to collect reviews:

  • Automatically: customers get an email after they have attended a set number of classes.
  • Manually: send a request to everyone who attended a past class.
  • Anywhere: share your review link or QR code.

Where to find Reviews

Go to Tools in the left side menu, then click Reviews. You will see five tabs: Overview, Reviews, Private feedback, Settings and Link / QR code.

The Get review link button at the top right of every tab takes you straight to your review link and QR code.

The Overview tab gives you a quick snapshot:

Card What it shows
Average rating The average of your public reviews (to 1 decimal place) and how many reviews it is based on
Public reviews How many reviews are published
Unresolved feedback Private feedback you have not marked as Resolved yet
Requests sent (30d) Review request emails sent in the last 30 days
Rating distribution How many 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 star ratings you have
Recent reviews Your latest public reviews

If you do not have any public reviews yet, the average shows 0.0 from 0 reviews.

Step 2: Ask customers for reviews

Share your link or QR code

Go to Reviews and open the Link / QR code tab. Your review link can be used again and again, and it opens the same page as the review emails.

  • Copy link: add it to emails, receipts, your social media bio or your email signature.
  • Download PNG: print the QR code for reception or show it on a screen in your studio.
  • Preview email: see exactly what customers receive when you ask for a review.

  2. Find the class, click its three-dot menu and choose View class.
  3. On the class page, click the three-dot menu and choose Request reviews.

The review request email

The email shows your studio logo and name, asks the customer about their recent class, and has a Leave a review button that takes them to your review link.

What your customer sees

  1. They open your review link. They need to be logged in to ClassFit.
  2. They click Leave a review, choose a star rating, add their details and write their review, then submit it.
  3. If their rating meets your Public from setting, it can be published. If it is lower, it goes to your private feedback only.

Each customer can leave one public review per studio. If they try again, the Leave a review button is disabled and a message tells them they have already left a review.

If you switch off Public reviews page, the Leave a review button is disabled and customers see “[Studio name] disabled public reviews” when they hover over it. Your public reviews are hidden until you switch it back on.

Step 3: Manage your public reviews

Go to Reviews and open the Reviews tab. From here you can:

  • Search by customer name or by what they wrote.
  • Filter by status (Published or Hidden) or by star rating.
  • Click Hide to take a review off public view. The button then changes to Publish.
  • Click Publish to put it back. The button changes back to Hide.
  • Click a customer’s name to open their client profile.

The newest reviews are shown first.

Step 4: Deal with private feedback

Any rating below your Public from setting goes to the Private feedback tab. It is never shown publicly.

  1. Go to Reviews and open Private feedback.
  2. Read the comment. If you want to follow up, open the customer’s client profile.
  3. Click Resolved once you have dealt with it. You can click Reopen if you need to.

You can filter by New or Resolved. Anything not resolved is counted on the Overview tab.
