If you need to switch your ClassFit account from an old Zoom account to a new one, you can do so easily. Here’s how:

Disconnect your current Zoom account

Begin by disconnecting your current Zoom account from ClassFit.

Reconnect a new Zoom account

Once your old Zoom account is disconnected, reconnect a different Zoom account. Any new online classes and meetings you create will be linked to your new Zoom account details.

Important notes:

Existing classes and meetings

Your existing classes in ClassFit, as well as the meetings in Zoom, will remain unchanged. This means they will retain the same meeting links and passwords as before.

Starting fresh

If you want to start fresh with your Zoom account, you’ll need to cancel your existing classes and create new ones. Once you do this, ClassFit will automatically cancel the associated Zoom meetings for you.

Zoom meetings created by ClassFit ignore your passcode or other settings: lock the setting at Zoom account level.

ClassFit creates Zoom meetings based on your Zoom account and meeting settings. Some organizers have mentioned that the Zoom meetings generated by ClassFit don’t always align with their preferred settings.

Zoom has multiple tiers of settings, and it’s possible that your account settings are overriding your meeting settings. For example, you may have a passcode requirement enabled at the account level, but this setting might not be locked, allowing meetings created by ClassFit or other third parties to bypass this requirement.

What the lock icons in Zoom mean

The padlock icons are part of Zoom, not ClassFit. They sit next to settings in your Zoom web portal and control whether that setting can be changed lower down.

A closed padlock means the setting is locked. It is fixed at account or group level, the toggle is greyed out, and nobody below that level can change it. Zoom usually labels this Locked by admin.

An open padlock means the setting is not locked. Users, and apps that create meetings for you such as ClassFit, can still create meetings that do not follow it.

Locking is what makes a setting apply to every meeting, including the ones ClassFit creates for you. So if you need something like a passcode or a waiting room on every class, turn it on and then click the padlock to lock it.

Only the Zoom account owner or an admin can lock or unlock a setting, and it has to be done under Account Management > Account Settings, not in your own Profile Settings. If you are a normal user on someone else’s Zoom account, you will need to ask them to do it.

Lock Meeting inside a live Zoom call is a different thing. It stops anyone new joining a meeting that has already started, and it has no effect on your ClassFit classes.

Resolving Zoom Settings Issues

To ensure that meetings scheduled via ClassFit adhere to your Zoom settings, follow these steps:

Lock Your Passcode Requirements
If you require a passcode for all meetings, make sure to lock this setting in your Zoom account. This ensures that every meeting, including those scheduled by ClassFit, automatically requires a passcode.

Go to your Account Settings page in Zoom.

Find the passcode setting and click the Lock icon to secure it.

Check All Relevant Settings
Zoom settings can be found in multiple areas such as your Profile Settings and Account Settings. It’s important to review and lock any settings that are critical to how your meetings are conducted.

Additional Resources

For further guidance on Zoom settings, refer to Zoom’s support articles or contact their support directly from your Zoom account:

Fix the Zoom "Invalid access token" or "Failed to refresh access token: 400 zoom.us/oauth/token" error when saving a Zoom class: disconnect and reconnect Zoom.

When saving a Zoom class you may see one of these errors:

Invalid access token

Failed to refresh access token: 400 … zoom.us/oauth/token

Both mean the connection between ClassFit and Zoom has expired. Zoom reports this can happen when the organiser is signed in on several devices.

Fix

1. In ClassFit go to Tools > Integrations and switch Zoom off.
2. If Zoom asks, remove ClassFit from your Zoom App Marketplace dashboard (Manage > Added apps > ClassFit > Remove).
3. Switch Zoom on again in ClassFit and click Authorise when Zoom asks.
4. Save the class again.

Zoom classes show in ClassFit but not in Zoom: Zoom's 100 actions per day limit, and how ClassFit queues meetings until it resets.

Zoom’s 100 Action per Day Limit

Zoom has a daily limit of 100 actions. Actions include creating, editing, or deleting a Zoom meeting. When dealing with recurring classes, it’s easy to quickly exceed Zoom’s daily limit. Here’s how actions accumulate:

Creating a Zoom-based class counts as 1 action (e.g., 1 total action).

If you repeat this class twice per week for 6 months, this counts as 50 actions.

Editing the title of the class will update all 50 meetings, counting as an additional 50 actions (total: 100 actions).

Once you hit the daily limit, Zoom won’t allow you to create, edit, or cancel any more meetings until the following day.

Queuing Zoom Actions

If you try to create, edit, or cancel any further classes on the same day after hitting Zoom’s action limit, Zoom will not permit it. However, ClassFit will queue these actions for you. Once Zoom resets your action limit the next day, ClassFit will automatically push through the changes—allowing you to finish all your work within ClassFit in one session, even if Zoom needs to catch up later.

Before Zoom Lifts Their Limit

Until Zoom resets your action limit, you might notice that your classes are showing in ClassFit but not yet linked to Zoom meetings. As the organizer, you can still see the classes, but ClassFit will hide them from your clients until the actual Zoom meetings are created. This prevents clients from registering for a class without a valid Zoom link and receiving a confirmation email without the meeting information.

Once Zoom lifts the action limit, ClassFit will create the Zoom meetings and link them to your ClassFit classes. After this is done, your clients will be able to register as normal.

What to Do If Your Zoom Meetings Aren’t Showing

If some of your Zoom classes are showing but others aren’t, please allow up to 24 hours for ClassFit to process and create the meetings after Zoom resets its limits. If the issue persists, please contact us, and we’ll help resolve the issue.
