Why a class is missing from the class list when you create a package or a discount code: paid on site only, or free.

When you create a class package, you can choose which classes the package will apply to. This allows you to include some classes in your package and exclude others. For example if you have a special workshop or retreat coming up, you may wish to exclude this from the regular packages people buy. You can do so by selecting only the appropriate classes as below:

However, you may sometimes notice that a class you have created is not included in the list. There are two reasons for this:

The same applies when you choose which classes a discount code works on.

The class is marked as paid on site only. As packages are purchased with an online payment, only classes that can be paid for online will work with packages

The class is free. As the class is free, no payment is required, including credits from class packages.

Offering the flexibility of a drop-in price can be beneficial for some clients, while others may prefer to limit class access to members or those who purchase packages. ClassFit makes it easy to choose how you want to price your classes.

Setting Up Drop-in Pricing

When creating a class, you’ll reach a section titled “Payments” on the third page of the setup process. Here’s how you can configure drop-in pricing:

In the Payments section, you’ll see an option labeled “Drop-in available”:

Yes: This is the default setting, allowing clients to pay a drop-in fee. You can set the specific price for drop-ins here.

No: Select this if you prefer to offer the class exclusively through packages or memberships. Clients will only be able to sign up for your classes using the available packages.

If you choose not to offer a drop-in option, ensure that your class is linked to a package that clients can purchase to attend the session.

Create a multi-day course: create each class, then Packages > Create package > Course and link the classes. Buyers are enrolled into every linked day.

A Course is a package linked to specific classes. When a client buys it, they are booked onto every linked class at once. Use it for a fixed set of sessions that clients attend together, such as a term or several weeks of lessons.

Create a course

1. Create a class for each day or session (Classes > Create a class). Make each one payable online.

2. Go to Packages > Create package.

3. Under Package type choose Course.

4. Set the price and an expiry date. Expiry counts from the date of purchase, so if people book far in advance, give it a long expiry.

5. Under “Are all classes, services and video on demand included?” choose Let me choose and tick the classes for this course.

6. Click Create package.

When a client buys the course they are enrolled into all linked classes. If you later create another class and link it to the course, existing buyers are enrolled in that class too.

Course, class pack or two drop-in classes?

Course: one purchase books every linked date. Best for a fixed set of sessions everyone attends.
Class pack: credits that clients can spend on any linked class in their own time. Best for flexible attendance.
Two drop-in classes: two separate bookings and payments. Best when people may attend only one day.

If your course only runs across two days and the same people attend both days, it is usually simpler to create one event that runs for two days. Clients then book it once, and you do not need a course package.

How to create a Standing Reservation

Standing reservations are recurring memberships linked to particular classes, ideal for clients with fixed schedules.

Standing reservations are recurring memberships linked to particular classes, ideal for clients with fixed schedules. Know more about it as you continue reading here.

Creating standing reservations

This could be great if you have regular customers who always attend the same classes at the same times. Let’s say you have a client who always attends your class each Thursday at 6pm. They never miss a class and would much rather opt out when they can’t make it, rather than opt in every week. To help this client out you can create a recurring membership (as below) with creating a standing reservation:

Make sure to link this package to only the class which your client will be attending, in this example, your class which is on Thursdays at 6pm. Once your client purchases this package, they will be automatically enrolled into all relevant classes as long as he has it.
