Create, edit and delete class packs, recurring memberships, courses and standing reservations. Package types, credits, expiry, first-time-only, linked classes.

It’s easy to set up a non-recurring package or a recurring package through ClassFit. In this article, we’ll show you how.

Creating Class Packages

Once you’re logged into our website, go to Packages on the left side menu, then click on the dropdown then choose Create package.

When creating your class package, ClassFit provides several options to customize your class package to your business needs.

Package Name – This is what your customers will see when purchasing the package.

Package Description – Describe in detail what your package includes.

Package Options– Simple or Advanced as below:

Simple – You choose how many credits the customer will get, and they can use them on any classes or services you choose.

Advanced – You can choose different numbers of credits for different classes and services. For example you might offer a package which allows a customer to attend 10 regular classes plus 1 personal training session.

Package type – There are four options:

Class Pack – This is a single class package or class pack. Once it expires, it will not renew automatically.

Recurring Membership – This is a membership that will renew automatically, based on the timings you set. At each renewal period, it will charge your client and give them a new set of credits.

Course – This is linked to specific classes. Once your client enrolls in the course, they will be automatically signed up for the linked classes.

Standing Reservation – This is a recurring membership linked to specific classes. When a client enrolls, they will automatically be signed up for the classes and will renew automatically until canceled.

Recur Period – If you have selected a recurring membership, you can make it recur either weekly, biweekly, 4 weekly, monthly, 3 monthly, or yearly.

First time client – If you want to offer a special discount for first-time customers, you can do so by checking the “First time clients only?” box. We will then only allow each account holder to purchase this once. Tip: you can create a class pack with one class if you want to offer a discount for the first class only.

Video on Demand Cost – This will determine if your uploaded pre-recorded videos will be costed separately or part of a package

How many credits do you want in your package? – This is how many classes will be assigned to the package.

Days Before the Package Expires – If you have selected a one-off class package, you can choose an expiry date. This will be the number of days after purchase that the class package will expire.

Currency – We will provide you with the currency options based on your account location.

Are all classes, services and video on demand included? – Everything / Let me choose. Select the classes that will be included in this package.

Once you’ve customized your package, click Create package.

Editing a package

Go to Packages > Edit packages and click the pencil icon on the package. Change any field as when creating it, then click Save. If clients already own this package, ClassFit asks whether the change should apply to them too. For a price rise you usually want No (new clients only). Click Yes only if existing clients should move to the new price or terms.

How Customers Purchase Packages

If you take online payments, your customers will check out online when they register for one of your classes. At this stage, they will be given the option to purchase the class at the pay-as-you-go rate set by you, or to purchase a package if you have created them, and they are relevant. In addition to this, you can also add a package widget to your website so your clients can purchase them without having to register for a class first.

Deleting Packages

From the class package, click on Edit packages. Then scroll down to find the packages you wish to delete in the table. Then click the trash can icon in the right-hand column. A popup will appear asking you to confirm you are ready to delete this package.

Customers who already have this package will not be impacted, however, it will stop new customers from purchasing this package in the future. If you want more information on how to edit packages which clients have already purchased, please see this link for further information – Adding and editing client-specific packages.

Creating classes is the core of what you do. We’ve streamlined the process to make it as simple and flexible as possible, allowing you to create classes tailored to your needs.

Step 1: Accessing the Class Creation Page

After logging into the ClassFit website:

Click on Classes > Create a Class on the left side menu.

Step 2: Filling Out the Class Information

In the Create Class form, you’ll need to provide various details about your class. Below is a breakdown of the fields you may encounter:

Template: Select existing class details as a template. This saves you time by pre-filling common fields, allowing you to update only the relevant parts for the new class.

Class Instructor: Assign an instructor for the class. Remember, an instructor cannot teach two classes at the same time.

Maximum Attendees: Set the maximum number of participants for the class. If this number is reached, a waitlist will be automatically created.

Additional Fields: Depending on your needs, you can include a medical questionnaire, minimum attendees required for the class to proceed, and more.

Step 3: Setting Class Location and Visibility

Attendance Type: Choose whether the class will be held in person or online via Zoom.

Map Class Location: Choose the venue from your saved locations. Add or manage venues under Tools > Locations, then select the one you want for this class from the dropdown.

Who Can See This Class: Choose from four visibility options: Everyone, People with a link to your calendar or profile, Existing clients only, or Clients with a link to your class.

Copying the link for a private class. If you choose “Clients with a link to your class”, the link is the page address itself. Open the class from Classes > My Classes, then copy the URL from your browser’s address bar (it looks like app.classfit.com/class/1234567). Share that URL directly. This is not your profile URL and not your calendar widget URL; those show your whole timetable.

How far ahead the class is bookable. Each class has its own “How far ahead can clients book (days)” setting. This also controls how far in advance the class appears on your profile and calendar widget. There is no separate weeks setting on the widget itself; change this field on the class to show it further ahead or closer in.

Step 4: Payment and Refund Options

Class Cost: Enter the cost for attending the class.

Refund Policy: Select the applicable refund policy. You can choose from no refunds, full refunds, or specific timing options.

Payment Type: Decide whether payments will be processed online (via Stripe) or offline. For online payments, ensure your Stripe account is connected.

Which packages are included: If you link the class to packages, only those packages will work on this class. You cannot select any packages if the class is free, or if it takes payment in person rather than online.

Finalizing Your Class

After filling in all necessary details, click Submit to create your class. Your class will then be listed under My Classes, ready for attendees to register.
