Reviews lets you collect star ratings and written feedback from your customers. Everything is hosted by ClassFit.

You decide which ratings can go public using the Public from setting. Ratings at or above it can be published. Anything lower comes to you as private feedback and never appears publicly.

For example, if Public from is set to 4 stars+, 4 and 5 star ratings can be published, and 1 to 3 star ratings go to private feedback.

There are three ways to collect reviews:

Automatically: customers get an email after they have attended a set number of classes.

Manually: send a request to everyone who attended a past class.

Anywhere: share your review link or QR code.

Where to find Reviews

Go to Tools in the left side menu, then click Reviews. You will see five tabs: Overview, Reviews, Private feedback, Settings and Link / QR code.

The Get review link button at the top right of every tab takes you straight to your review link and QR code.

The Overview tab gives you a quick snapshot:

Card

What it shows

Average rating

The average of your public reviews (to 1 decimal place) and how many reviews it is based on

Public reviews

How many reviews are published

Rating distribution

If you do not have any public reviews yet, the average shows 0.0 from 0 reviews.

Step 1: Turn on Reviews

Reviews are off until you switch them on.

Go to Reviews and open the Settings tab.

Switch on Public reviews page.

Under Public from, pick the lowest rating that can be published: 5 stars+, 4 stars+, 3 stars+, 2 stars+ or 1 star+. The default is 4 stars+.

Click Save settings.

Automatic review requests (optional)

This is also off by default. Switch on Automatic review requests, then choose your settings:

Setting

What it does

Default

Allowed range

After class number

Sends the email after the customer’s Nth attended class

3

1 to 50

Delay (hours)

How many hours after the class ends the email is sent

2

0 to 72

Min. days between requests

The minimum gap before the same customer can get another automatic request

90

30 to 365

Click Save settings when you are done. Customers who have already left a review will not be emailed again.

Step 2: Ask customers for reviews

Share your link or QR code

Go to Reviews and open the Link / QR code tab. Your review link can be used again and again, and it opens the same page as the review emails.

Copy link: add it to emails, receipts, your social media bio or your email signature.

Download PNG: print the QR code for reception or show it on a screen in your studio.

Preview email: see exactly what customers receive when you ask for a review.

Request reviews from a whole class

Go to Classes, then My classes, then History.

Find the class, click its three-dot menu and choose View class.

On the class page, click the three-dot menu and choose Request reviews.

Check the number of attended customers, then click Send requests.

Only customers marked as attended are included. Anyone who has already left a public review, has opted out, or does not have an email address is skipped.

The review request email

The email shows your studio logo and name, asks the customer about their recent class, and has a Leave a review button that takes them to your review link.

What your customer sees

They open your review link. They need to be logged in to ClassFit.

They click Leave a review, choose a star rating, add their details and write their review, then submit it.

If their rating meets your Public from setting, it can be published. If it is lower, it goes to your private feedback only.

Each customer can leave one public review per studio. If they try again, the Leave a review button is disabled and a message tells them they have already left a review.

If you switch off Public reviews page, the Leave a review button is disabled and customers see “[Studio name] disabled public reviews” when they hover over it. Your public reviews are hidden until you switch it back on.

Step 3: Manage your public reviews

Go to Reviews and open the Reviews tab. From here you can:

Search by customer name or by what they wrote.

Filter by status (Published or Hidden) or by star rating.

Click Hide to take a review off public view. The button then changes to Publish.

Click Publish to put it back. The button changes back to Hide.

Click a customer’s name to open their client profile.

The newest reviews are shown first.

Step 4: Deal with private feedback

Any rating below your Public from setting goes to the Private feedback tab. It is never shown publicly.

Go to Reviews and open Private feedback.

Read the comment. If you want to follow up, open the customer’s client profile.

Click Resolved once you have dealt with it. You can click Reopen if you need to.

You can filter by New or Resolved. Anything not resolved is counted on the Overview tab.

The Locations feature lets you save the physical venues where your classes and services take place.

The Locations feature lets you save the physical venues where your classes and services take place. Once saved, a location can be quickly assigned to any class or service, and your clients will see the full address and an interactive map on their booking.

To get there: Go to Tools in the left-hand menu, then click Locations.

What is the Locations module?

Locations is a central library of all the venues your business uses. Instead of typing an address every time you create a class or service, you save your venues here once and select them from a dropdown when needed. Any changes to a location automatically flow through to every class and service linked to it.

Adding a new location

Click the Add location button in the top-right corner of the Locations page.

In the popup that appears, enter a Location title — this is the name you’ll see when selecting the venue from a dropdown (e.g. “Main Studio” or “City Centre Gym”).

Enter the Address. You have two options:

Type it directly into the address field. This also works for informal descriptions like “Location will be provided upon booking” or “Near Birmingham City Centre”.

Pick location from map — click this button to open an interactive Google Map. Search for your address in the search bar, then drag the red pin to the exact spot if needed. Click OK when done.

Once an address is selected, a Map preview will appear confirming the pin location.

Click Save to add the location to your library.

Editing a location

On the Locations page, find the location you want to update and click the pencil (edit) icon in the bottom-right of its card.

Update the Location title or Address as needed.

Click Save.

⚠️ Important: Editing a location will update the address on all classes and services linked to it, including past ones. If you want to keep the old address on historical classes, create a new location instead of editing the existing one.

Deleting a location

Click the bin (delete) icon on the location card.

A confirmation message will appear: “Are you sure you want to delete this location? This action cannot be undone.”

Click Delete location to confirm, or Back to cancel.

Reordering locations

You can drag your locations into any order you like — useful if you want your most-used venues to appear at the top of the list when assigning a location to a class or service.

To reorder, click and hold the grid icon (⠿) in the top-left corner of a location card and drag it to the desired position.

Assigning a location to a class or service

Locations are assigned when you create or edit a class or service. On Step 2: Where and When, you’ll see:

Attendance type — set this to In person to reveal the Location field. (If you select Online stream – via Zoom, the Location field won’t appear.)

Location — click the dropdown and choose from your saved locations. Each location is shown as “Location name · Address”. You can also type in the search box to filter by name or address.

How clients see the location

When a client views a class or service they’ve booked, the Class location section at the bottom of the page shows the full address and an interactive Google Map with a pin on the venue.

Tips

Use a descriptive Location title. The title is what you see in the dropdown when scheduling — a name like “Lordswood Boys School” is much easier to scan than just an address.

You can use free-text addresses. If you run outdoor sessions or pop-up classes where the address isn’t fixed, you can type something like “Location will be provided upon booking” in the address field. It won’t show a map pin, but the text will still appear on the client’s booking.

Create a new location rather than editing if you’re moving venues. Since edits affect all linked classes (past and future), it’s safer to add a new location when you change venues — that way your historical bookings keep the original address.
